Cowboy Ball

July 2013 issue

Whitewater Therapeutic Cowboy Ball July 27, 2013

Johnny U and the Moon Pies will entertain at the 4th Annual Whitewater Therapeutic and Recreational Riding Association Cowboy Ball, July 27, 2013, in Salmon, Idaho.

The Cowboy Ball is the primary fundraiser for the therapeutic riding program. The event includes food, drinks, live and silent auction and dancing. The auctions will be interspersed with dancing and eating (substantial finger food), so that people can mingle, dance and eat while contributing to the work of this all-volunteer, non-profit organization that was founded in 1994.

Horseman and cowboy country music artist Johnny U hails from Shoshone, Idaho . As a youngster he was signed to be the national musician representative for Dodge Rodeo after injuries curtailed his rodeo career. Johnny U and the Dodge Country Band toured the nation 300 days of the year for fifteen years. Johnny U now focuses on singing closer to home and his ranch.

Attendees of the Cowboy Ball should have their dancing shoes on. “I’m very Western and very cowboy. That’s who I am. That’s what I do best,” explains Johnny U, who has eleven albums under his belt.

The Cowboy Ball will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Whitewater Arena, 1319 Cemetery Lane , Salmon , ID. Tickets are $20 per person with a reservation if purchased prior to July 24; or $25 at the door. Call 208-469-0617 to reserve, or contact whitewatertherapeutic@gmail.com
