Hoof Trax Ice-gripping Boots

December 2012 issue

Keep your horse from slipping in icy or snowy conditions with the innovative Hoof Trax boot with steel traction cleats – similar to studs in your winter tires! With five sizes to choose from, this boot fits like a glove, slips on very easily, and significantly improves traction and safety for both you and your horse.

Simply lift your horse’s foot, slip the toe into the Hoof Trax boot, snug on the heel, and then wrap the padded strap around the pastern and secure it with Velcro.

High-quality, stainless steel, rounded cleats provide excellent grip on packed snow and ice by utilizing a hoof’s natural weight-bearing points while avoiding placing pressure on the more sensitive frog.

Winter work and play will be much safer with Hoof Trax boots. They can be worn over barefoot or shod hoofs, and are so quickly and easily placed on a horse that even short walks on an icy path in the barnyard or into a trailer will be much safer.

Hoof Trax designers and company owners Alissa and Tyson Palmer, of Kalispell , Montana , state, “Slips and falls can be part of your horse’s past if you make Hoof Trax part of your horse’s future.”

Hoof Trax size 1 boot is now available, and other sizes are coming soon. Hoof Trax are proudly manufactured in the U.S.A.

For more information, or how to purchase, call 888-668-4177. To watch videos of Hoof Trax being put on and worn in ice and snow, visit www.hooftrax.net.
