Outfitters Pack Station

Phillips Formfitter Saddle Tree

September 2012 issue

A product profile in the August 2012 issue of Rocky Mountain Rider featured the Phillips Formfitter pack saddle with a flexible, 23-inch-long tree.

Instead of being rigid like traditional trees, the left and right sides of the Phillips Formfitter tree move independently with the movement of the animal at all times. The front part moves up and down, following shoulder movement; and the panels (left and right) move sideward. That allows the tree to fit just about any animal. The tree is made from a unique polyurethane blend that makes it durable, with some flexibility even in cold weather. The bases have full leather sheaths and fleece on the bottom. The bars are made from 60/61 aluminum and are powder coated.

Trees are sold either separately to fit your own decker or sawbuck saddle, or with a full Outfitter Pack Station Pack Saddle and rigging.
