May 2011 issue

It’s riding season and time for weekend to weeklong getaways into the mountains. Buckstitch Canvas, Saddles and Tack, in Cody , Wyoming , carries a full line of superior back country equipment. This includes three types of very well-made, adjustable pack saddles that will fit different types and widths of mules’ and horses’ backs and withers.

The pack saddles all come with bar rigging and can be ordered with or without leather or beta rigging, complete with roller buckles on the breast collar and britching for easy adjusting.

Adjustable Aluminum Sawbuck Pack Saddle

The bars and lock tooth arches on this sawbuck pack saddle can be adjusted to fit very broad- to very narrow-backed horses and mules.

Hinged Bar Steel Hoop with Ears Pack Saddle

Strong ABS plastic bars will not break or crack.

T-Top Adjustable Pack Saddle

T-top steel arches with independently swiveling bars.

Buckstitch Canvas, Saddles & Tack also has the largest supply of quality pack equipment used by hunters and outfitters across the country. Twenty years of backcountry packing experience goes into every product they make: quality canvas wall tents, spike tents, cowboy bedrolls, hunting supplies and saddles and tack.
