New Equine Feeds and Supplement

 

December 2010 Issue  

     Lakeland Feed & Supply, in Hamilton , Montana , has formulated and is manufacturing three new feed products designed specifically to address certain problems or diseases in horses. The feeds are prepared with the horse owner in mind to ensure the highest quality while remaining affordable.

 

SuperSenior

     For older horses with their special dietary requirements including worn or missing teeth and an aging digestive system. Contains high-quality fiber, vitamins, minerals, extra protein, and glucosamine for joint health and flexibility in a delicious feed with molasses and vegetable oil. Easily made into mash for horses with dental problems. Can be fed as a complete feed or with forage. Available in 50 lb. bags.

 

CarbSense

     A low non-structural carbohydrate feed formulated to address obesity, Cushing’s disease, insulin resistance or diabetes, PSSM (tying up), and HYPP (a genetic muscle disease). High fiber from beet pulp and soybean hulls, and yeast for proper digestion, and healthy fats from flaxseed. In addition, Omega 3 fatty acids for joint health and biotin are added for healthy hooves and hair. No alfalfa, grain or molasses, helping to keep the starch content low. Can be fed as a complete feed or with forage. Available in 50 lb. bags.

 

Hoof & Hair

     A supplement designed to give your horse strong, sound hooves and a glossy, healthy coat. Contains the necessary vitamins, minerals, biotin, lecithin, and Omega 3s in one supplement with a delicious apple flavor. Only one 3-to-6 oz. scoop per day is needed. Available in 25 lb. bags.
