  Shelman Family Horse Sale

The 7th Annual Shelman Family Ranch & Performance Horse Sale was held July 24, 2010 at the Bell A Ranch in Burns, OR. The sale was preceded on Friday by a Sale Horse Open House Preview, a Team Roping Preview, and a BBQ, and on Saturday by a Working Cowhorse and Ranch Roping Preview.

High-selling horse Rowdys Timex.

The high-selling horse was Rowdys Timex, a 1999 AQHA sorrel gelding consigned by Mark & Ann Malott of Powell Butte, OR. Sired by Anyoldtimex, a Dash For Cash grandson, and out of a Triple Chick granddaughter, the finished breakaway and heel horse had been used extensively on the ranch, at jackpots, and at rodeos. He sold for $9,500 to Bill Paetsch.

The second high-selling horse was Missin Blue Cash, a 2002 AQHA blue roan gelding consigned by Wade Reaney and Brian Bott of Rupert , ID. The gentle, solid ranch horse was sired by Demand For Cash, a grandson of both Dash For Cash and Commander King, and out of a Dry Doc granddaughter. He sold to Alan Hermann for $6,000.

The third high-selling horse was Lil Uno Bob, a 2002 AQHA sorrel gelding consigned by Kris and Amber Stice of New Plymouth, ID. Sired by Bo Bob Cody, a grandson of both Peppy San Badger and Topsail Cody, and out of a Smart Little Lena granddaughter, he had been shown by the consignors’ 12-year-old daughter in both reining and working cowhorse. He sold for $5,850 to Kaylee Filippini.
