Ultimate Packer Mule Saddle

April 2010 Issue

When you plan on riding your mule into the back country and leading a pack string all day, this is the saddle that will fit both you and your mule very well.

The Buckstitch Ultimate Mule Packer Saddle is built on a strong, rawhide-covered wood tree designed with flatter bars to fit a mule’s straighter back, that weighs only 32 pounds.

The saddle has three-way rigging in a “Mother Hubbard” style single skirt, has a 100% sheepskin lining, and comes with an A-Fork or a Modified Association tree with a wrapped horn for dallying your pack string’s lead rope. The saddle is fully rigged with brass or stainless steel hardware, metal-bound wood stirrups, front and rear cinches, latigos, and a rear britchen attachment that can also be used for a crouper.

The cantle comes with reinforced slots to securely tie mantied game or panniers to the saddle.

To find out more about the Ultimate Packer Mule Saddle, and available options, contact Buckstitch Canvas, Saddles & Tack, in Cody , Wyoming at 800-268-4426 or www.buckstitchcanvas.com.

See Buckstitch saddles at the Top Notch Saddle & Tack Sale, May 7-9, 2010, in conjunction with the Cody Wild West Days Buffalo Bill Top Notch Horse Sale, in Cody Wyoming.
